Fiesta Nacional de la Vendimia: Trip Planning Guide

Mendoza's Fiesta Nacional de la Vendimia, the national grape harvest festival, runs for weeks, but its centre is one long weekend: the provincial government says the celebrations concentrate on the first weekend of March in the city of Mendoza. The 2027 dates had not been published when we checked on 4 October 2026.

Going by the government’s own programmes, the weekend follows the same pattern each year: a night parade of floats on Friday (the Vía Blanca), a morning parade on Saturday (the Carrusel), and on Saturday night the Acto Central, a stage show with more than a thousand performers at the Teatro Griego Frank Romero Day in Parque General San Martín. The show is repeated on the following nights.

The two parades are free and open to everyone. In 2023 the Vía Blanca left at 21:00 on the Friday and the Carrusel at 10:00 on the Saturday, both through the central streets of the city.

The Acto Central needs a ticket, and it goes fast: in January 2023 the government reported that Acto Central tickets sold out in a single morning, while seats were still left for the two repeat nights.

The repeat performances on the Sunday and Monday nights stage the same show. In 2023 they had their own warm-up sets before and a headline concert after, and their tickets were sold through entradaweb.com.ar.

The season starts earlier. Each department of the province holds its own vendimia from December, and the official calendar opens in late February with the Bendición de los Frutos, a free blessing of the harvest (25 February in 2024).
