Going to Festa das Vindimas, Peso da Régua?

Peso da Régua is a town on the Douro river. Its town council's events agenda lists a Festa das Vindimas (harvest festival), and the council also holds a harvest Mass, the Missa das Vindimas. Search listings of the council's site place both in September.

We could not open the council's own pages to check this year's dates or programme: its website refused our connections on 4 October 2026, so we have left the dates out rather than guess. What we could and could not check

Could: the council agenda carries an event called Festa das Vindimas, and the council publishes news of its Missa das Vindimas. We saw both in search listings of the council site.

Getting there by train

CP, the national railway, runs Regional and InterRegional trains on the Douro line from Porto São Bento to Régua and on to Pocinho (timetable valid from 5 August 2026). CP warns that one Monday-to-Saturday service may run as a replacement bus between Marco de Canaveses and Régua, so check its notices before you travel.

Two more reasons to go in harvest season

The Douro Historical Train runs between June and October, from Régua to Tua along the river in five historic carriages pulled by a diesel locomotive (CP).
The Douro Museum is in Régua, and CP gives 20% off museum entry if you show a train ticket to Régua.
