Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using thewinetrip.com or the TheWineTrip API (“the Service”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

TheWineTrip provides AI-assisted wine trip planning, region guides, winery data, and a REST API. Content is generated using a combination of curated data and AI models. While we strive for accuracy, we recommend verifying details (opening hours, prices, availability) directly with venues before travelling.

3. Accounts and API access

  • Free tier: No account required. Limited to 100 API requests per day.
  • Pro tier ($29/month): 10,000 API requests per day, full winery dataset, affiliate URLs, priority support.
  • You are responsible for keeping your API key secure. Do not share it publicly.
  • We reserve the right to suspend access for abuse, excessive load, or violation of these terms.

4. Acceptable use

You may not:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the API beyond your plan limits
  • Redistribute bulk winery data obtained through the API without a commercial licence
  • Misrepresent TheWineTrip content as your own without attribution

5. Intellectual property

Region guides, comparison content, blog posts, and the TheWineTrip brand are our intellectual property. API responses may be used in your applications with attribution. The MCP server is provided under the terms of its npm package licence.

6. Affiliate links and third parties

TheWineTrip includes affiliate links to booking platforms and tour operators. Clicking these links takes you to third-party sites governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services, pricing, or availability.

7. Payment and refunds

  • Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe.
  • You can cancel at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
  • Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis within 14 days of the first payment.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that itineraries, winery data, or recommendations will be accurate, complete, or current. Travel decisions are made at your own risk.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TheWineTrip shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to travel disruptions, missed bookings, or reliance on generated content.

10. Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be posted on this page.
