Going to Premiere Napa Valley?

The wine trade's most exclusive access event — a Sotheby's auction of unique cuvées made exclusively for the event, preceded by three days of barrel tastings at 200+ participating Napa wineries. Trade-only, but licensed buyers can register remotely to bid on one-of-a-kind Napa lots. The Grand Barrel Tasting on Saturday is the week's centrepiece, offering unreleased 2024 vintage access months before commercial release.

Your trip blueprint

1
Arrive a day early
Settle in and visit a local producer before the crowds arrive — fly into San Francisco International (SFO).
2
Festival (4 days)
Four days in mid to late February, annual. Best for wine-enthusiasts.
3
Extend into the region (2 days)
Napa Valley has 1,188 mapped wineries — add 2 days to explore at your own pace.
Insider tip

Access requires a licensed wine trade registration. Virtual bidding is available for free — you can bid on auction lots without traveling. The Preview Tasting Package ($150) gives 3-day winery access without the live auction.
